My engine is a little dusty. Is it okay to just spray some water in there when it warms up outside?

Just make sure you cover the expensive electrical connections and don't use a strong spray, more like what comes out of the hose without a nossle. Also make sure you run the engine for awhile afterwards to dry off the water. For me, the water likes to pool up in the valve cover center channels, so make sure you mop that up.

Alright, cool. So if it's 40 degrees F out, I'll be okay, as long as I run it afterwards and check the valve cover?
