: Thinking About Turning A 85 Fleetwood Limo Into A Hotrod

If I get it I want to turn it into a nice hot rod what size engine & transmission are in it know? What sould I do to it should I get a new engine or should keep the old one & just update it. If I get it I am looking to drop $10k to $20K into it to make it a decent hotrod what sould I do. I want to get a automatic racing transmission & a engine with 850+ horse power eninge.

there is place here in baltimore called hotrod limos that does that

they have one 87 caddy limo i think that has a procharged 502 ... its a wild ride, loud as a sunuvabitch

iron block 502 ... F1A procharger, Insane Racing exhaust with dumps, TH400 racebuilt tranny, custom Denny's Driveshaft with heavy duty center support bearing, built ford 9" rear. custom minitub

To 502s I say BAH. Keep it Cadillac powered. With 10k into it, you might have $4-5k left for a motor. Which is in the price segment where the Cad 500 shines. I'd go big cam w/the necessary shaft rockers, ported iron heads, forged pistons and rods, then spray the hell out of it.
