Ryan's '05-V 01-29-07, 02:01 AM Yes, it sounded sweet. Nice mean cam. FL01SS 01-29-07, 09:04 AM The idle doesn't sound very Vette like IMO. Sounds mean as Hell, but not as refined as I would want if it was my Vette. Sounds AWSOME accelerating though! Florian 01-29-07, 10:23 AM Big deal...My V sounds better.....and I have a nicer cam setup for the street. F xxpinballxx 01-29-07, 11:40 AM Thats my buddy Johns car.....he also has a 99 cobra that he bought from a salvage yard that is astonishing right now..... I can't believe he actually put that video up on youtube. He made that video about a year or so ago at his old house. funny to see it pop up on here..... vr6aaron 01-29-07, 09:30 PM Do u know what he dynoed on the vette? Headers with Corsa sound sick. I would think twice if i pulled up to that. FLorian lets hear yours.:) gary88 01-29-07, 10:55 PM Sweet bajebus, I have fallen in love LS1Mike 01-29-07, 11:12 PM Very nice! I can't wait, my WS6 gets one next month. Florian 01-29-07, 11:14 PM Do u know what he dynoed on the vette? Headers with Corsa sound sick. I would think twice if i pulled up to that. FLorian lets hear yours.:) Ill put the camera up to mine as soon as Doug is finished putting the new rear in.... F Spyder 01-29-07, 11:49 PM That is a pretty bad ass sound, but not at all what I would want a Corvette to sound like. More of a 60's sound than a Vette... xxpinballxx 01-30-07, 01:40 PM I just sent him an email about the vette....here is his reply The vette did 352 totally stock (thats about right for it being 400hp at the motor) after the cam and longtube headers it did 426 to the tires. Im guessing it would do high 11's in the quarter mile on Stock tires, when i first got it it went 12.5....and that was totally stock, right down to the paper air filter. My cobra did 578 rwhp at about 13 lbs of boost. I just got done putting on a 10-rib pulley and belt for the Vortech blower so the boost should be around 16-17 lbs. Im gonna guess and say around low 600's when its done. The engine is an SVO "R" block (supposedly good for around 1500 hp, the stock 5.0 blocks usually split right down the middle if you go over 500 -550 rhwp) all forged internals, pretty big cam (sounds nice at idle) 3550 trans (5-spd) Trick Flow R-series intake. If its under about 45-50 deg outside it will break the tires loose on the highway at about 60mph in 3rd gear, no clutch, just floor the gas pedal vr6aaron 01-30-07, 11:59 PM Thats nice but dont like cobras. So does he still have the vette? He wound up buying a F150 fully loaded and then couldn't go without the speed so bought a cobra...He works at ford so is pretty big on fords besides the vette. He's had vettes and mustangs as long as I have known him always buying them throwing a 5 or ten grand into them and then trading them in losing out the arse and doing it all over again. | |
