View Full Version : Most clever vanity plates ever?? I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-25-07, 11:06 PM What are the most clever vanity plates you've ever seen?
I saw a Lexus GS400 the other day with plates that said "GS4PLAY" on it. I literally laughed out loud. RunningOnEMT 01-25-07, 11:23 PM i'm a child i always through 3M TA3 was really funny I saw RU2FAT on a license plate. Imagine that, she was an Herbalife Weight Loss products salesperson.
JRau in central Iowa RunningOnEMT 01-25-07, 11:37 PM just ordered LS6CAD for my car, on university plates
its not creative...but its mine damnit! My triple black Eldo (below) doesn't really read FAT ELDO, it's actually HOFFA JR.
Local limo reads FLICKU, (read that from a distance)
Local MBZ reads NB CHEVY ( Newport Beach Chevy )
and a Porsche Turbo reads IHOLACE Here's mine...

Actually, pretty cool. Very much like the idea I've always thought of, as putting LT1CAD on my Fleetwood.
Haven't seen a really clever one in a while, but my mother still has JOURNEY on her Suburban, which in reality, was actually intended to stand for the 80's band. She's always been a fan, and I guess really was when she thought that one up, but now barely listens to any of them. The good part is, people who see it always think it just means she's always on a journey of some sort...and none of us never even mention the reality. So, it still works, and looks more unique than a number.
Used to be this:

and now it's the same word, but a white background with a dog and a cat (apparently supports the ASPCA and such, which is why she wanted it). Florian 01-26-07, 12:31 AM LCNSPL8 some dude in a porsche has that one here.

That was my first choice, but it was taken, so I went with the next best thing. pabstcadillac 01-26-07, 12:40 AM I always love a good Seinfeld moment...
http://i23.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/93/38/45_1.JPG gdwriter 01-26-07, 12:51 AM I see a lot of clever vanity plates at the classic car shows I take Betty to. This is my favorite, on a '53 Suburban at a show in Orange County:
http://www.gdwriter.q45.org/AGD_BRBN.jpg Highway Star 01-26-07, 12:53 AM Not sure how clever this one was, but here's my 58 Caddy from around 1977 with STONED on the plate. I called the car Panama Red. And yes, it got pulled a lot! That was my dog Spongy posing for a pic. kali_cts03 01-26-07, 04:49 AM one of my friends back in chicago had
ANY1469
:lildevil: Two of my favorites were a CA plate on A Rolls that said; RCH FKR and the other was a local red neck with 12" lifted 4x4 Ford that said; MFF DVR.:yup: 90Brougham350 01-26-07, 09:15 AM My sister and I were going to lunch a few weeks ago and an LS400 turned infront of us. The plate read: "WAS HIS" malcolm 01-26-07, 09:31 AM Always liked MUF DVR from Cheech and Chong's "Up in smoke"
The license plate on Cheech Marin's car- MUF DVR, was his real license plate at the time. CadillacGurl 01-26-07, 09:41 AM This takes the cake (on a CTS-V I snapped the photo):

Back when the Celtics were good and they had a big rivalry with LA I had IHATLA I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-26-07, 10:02 AM I think the CEO of the corporation I work for has a S65AMG that has plates that say "YOUWISH"....arrogance at it's finest. AirJigga25 01-26-07, 10:07 AM shaq oneal had IDGAF on his plate My 1993 Cadillac Sixty Special's plate is - "60 SPCL"
My 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4's plate is - "JEEP"
My 2003 Lincoln Town Car Limited's plate is - "TSAP" Which nobody knows
what it stands for, except the people you want to know, which would be the police. TSAP means "To Serve and Protect" the Police motto. It's a special plate with a police shield on it, too. It depicts that the owner has contributed $100.00 to a fund available to offspring of fallen police in the active line of duty. In addition a contribution of ten bucks a year. Since the Lincoln is my daily driver.....I never get a ticket, and never get stopped. I saw a North Dakota plate some years back that I really like MIXME1 and I thought I liked to drink. :alchi:
My sister had LUSHUS on her plate back in her drinking days. Always liked MUF DVR from Cheech and Chong's "Up in smoke"
The license plate on Cheech Marin's car- MUF DVR, was his real license plate at the time.
The guy with the Ford 4x4 tried to get MUF DVR, but it was taken so he got MFF DVR. In MD you have to explain what it means, I'd like to have seen that story!:D I got to hear this one read in traffic court twice for wreckless driving. Great fun! :lildevil: pabstcadillac 01-26-07, 08:38 PM This takes the cake (on a CTS-V I snapped the photo):
Points for that pic. Not too mention that is something you'd want to know on the front end. :alchi: Boombotz 01-26-07, 09:56 PM Here is Stoney's plate. AlBundy 01-26-07, 10:11 PM The Eldo and Seville guys are still waiting on this guy.

In May I'm getting "WISEGUY" on my '79 Phaeton.
I was going to get "BDERENU" on my '96 Deville, but I didn't want to get keyed. I really need to get something creative for my Fleetwood...hmm...

GTAWUDY dkozloski 01-27-07, 01:59 AM The best car/plate combination I ever saw was a Ferrari 250 LM with the plate 250 LM. The car was the actual 1965 Lemans winner and was going down Wilshire Blvd at 2:00AM doing 150MPH+. This car has changed hands for more than $1.5 million. Red_October_7000 01-27-07, 02:09 AM MOB CAR is nice for a Fleetwood,
My ladyfriend's Toyota MR2 is "MRNOT" (said "Em-Are-Not" like the same of the car).
While I can't stand Honda I heard of an NSX with NSXTACY which is clever.
And who could resist MYCADY on a cady? caddycruiser 01-27-07, 09:52 AM Fascinating guys, those are some fun choices. I'd rather not have anything referring to gas or making fun of other cars, but I really like a lot of those others. yourgmsolutions 01-27-07, 11:49 AM I'm trying to get me one too.
this is what I want to have, but i think to many letters, and i'm going to need short it down

NVRENUF :alchi: I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-28-07, 04:08 PM I was going to get "BDERENU" on my '96 Deville, but I didn't want to get keyed.
I don't get it.
Caddycruiser, how about "MYDBODY" or "D-BODY"
I swear to god, if I ever buy that Mark IV I've always wanted, I will get vanity plates that say "IVPLAY"!
If I get a GTP, it'd be cool if I got ones that say "GTP4ME" or maybe "L67GTP". Or if I get that Park Avenue Ultra I've always liked..."MYULTRA" or "L673800" or something like that. Benzilla 01-28-07, 06:17 PM I don't get it.
BDERENU = Better than you. I had some sort of letter combo that made sense, but I forgot it, it was something like that. I was thinking BEDRENU, but that would be read as BED-RENU.
I know that sounds like a stuck up ass hole, no excuse. I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-28-07, 08:01 PM Yeah, that would get your car keyed pretty quickly if people got what it meant.
Some of them, like fkhonda, fukrice, 10MPG, gashog, etc etc would just get a lot of negative responces and would bring a lot of negative attention overall to the car. Me personally I'd want something clever and or subtle, or just the internal designation of the car.. Old Fleetwood 01-28-07, 10:01 PM Here in Connecticut,
On a 1966 Cadillac:

my friend might take offense to that... her last name is tang...
lol Red_October_7000 01-30-07, 11:38 PM Classic for a really fast car is AMF -stands for "Adios Mother F*ckers". That is what you say when you leave them behind. My dad knew a guy who had this on a wagon -that deserved to bear it! It was a Chevelle wagon with the mechanicals out of a SS 396 Big Block. my friend might take offense to that... her last name is tang...
lol
Let me guess her first name... POON! I~LUV~Caddys8792 02-11-07, 08:24 PM Trying to think of some good vanity plates for a Regal GS...
My first choice so far: MYL67GS
Otherwise...
S/C3800
W-Body
L67WBDY
AL67GS
AL67REG My 2003 Lincoln Town Car Limited's plate is - "TSAP" Which nobody knows
what it stands for, except the people you want to know, which would be the police.
Nice. :)
That's what I need. Not available in Missouri though. EcSTSatic 05-30-07, 04:08 PM I like it. I Googled "To Serve and Protect". Unfortunately it gets pretty watered down by other interest groups everywhere . For many years, I've wanted an Avanti Convertible (2002-2004) based upon a F'Bird Trans Am. Have never found the rtight one 4-sale. Have found the right one....but, it's not 4-sale....but it had the coolest vanity plate I have ever seen >>>> EVER C1
Ever See one
BTW, MY "TSAP" and "TPAS" cannot be misunderstood, as I have given $100 and pledged $10 bucks a year to the Police Org. that puts that $$$ into a fund for the children of slain officers in the line of duty, that said offspring can borrow to help pay for any type/form of higher education after High School. In so doing, ny NJ license plate also bears the gold Police Shield. (about the size of a walnut).
This is what I want.....
http://photos.ebizautos.com/3641/1390215_8.jpg Jonas McFeely 05-30-07, 05:10 PM I have to renew my registration in July, and im going to change it from CBERRY1 to one of the following, depending on availability:

WTFDOOD
4100PWR
4100LOL
OMG LOL
LOL WTF
WTF LOL
OMG WTF
A55 JCT (ass junction)
POOPLOL
I'd also go with some more serious ones, but i dont take myself that seriously:
1 OF 393
SAGELAC
RARELAC Dadillac 05-30-07, 10:58 PM I always liked the plate that was on Steve's Corvette on 90210. I8A4RE. I saw a Vermont driver today who had the plate O2BINVT. Pretty cool
Don codewize 05-31-07, 09:55 AM The one I've always liked is some rendition of
WMWMWMWM
Yeah, try to read that at 70 MPH. Hell try to read it at all. LOL But when it comes down to it I always opt for something related to my business. behind-bars 05-31-07, 07:34 PM OICU812
lol OICU812 (Oh I see you ate one too) is a good one. lol
So is I8A4RE (I ate a Ferrari). Red_October_7000 06-01-07, 12:03 AM I saw a Porsche once (Driven by an "obviously-compensating-for-something" business type) with the number plate "VET EATR". Stupid MA only allows 6 letters, they let 7 on in the green plate days but now not only do you need a stupid front plate, but you can only have 6 characters. I wonder if they can do "DEL*.*"??? rblimas 06-01-07, 12:15 AM i seen one that said "1PMS247"(PMS 24-7) i dont think it was custom tho, just bad luck:D
and:
http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s59/rjkusse/Dyno%20days/IMG_2163.jpg codewize 06-01-07, 08:53 AM That would be rmrf / for the Linux folks. No special characters on the plates yet. That will be so much fun.
I wonder if they can do "DEL*.*"??? Bat Guano 06-01-07, 09:01 AM Maybe mine is not the most clever but here it is.
