What are the most clever vanity plates you've ever seen?

I saw a Lexus GS400 the other day with plates that said "GS4PLAY" on it. I literally laughed out loud.

Local limo reads FLICKU, (read that from a distance)

Local MBZ reads NB CHEVY ( Newport Beach Chevy )

and a Porsche Turbo reads IHOLACE

Actually, pretty cool. Very much like the idea I've always thought of, as putting LT1CAD on my Fleetwood.

Haven't seen a really clever one in a while, but my mother still has JOURNEY on her Suburban, which in reality, was actually intended to stand for the 80's band. She's always been a fan, and I guess really was when she thought that one up, but now barely listens to any of them. The good part is, people who see it always think it just means she's always on a journey of some sort...and none of us never even mention the reality. So, it still works, and looks more unique than a number.

Not sure how clever this one was, but here's my 58 Caddy from around 1977 with STONED on the plate. I called the car Panama Red. And yes, it got pulled a lot! That was my dog Spongy posing for a pic.

Two of my favorites were a CA plate on A Rolls that said; RCH FKR and the other was a local red neck with 12" lifted 4x4 Ford that said; MFF DVR.:yup:

My sister and I were going to lunch a few weeks ago and an LS400 turned infront of us. The plate read: "WAS HIS"

I think the CEO of the corporation I work for has a S65AMG that has plates that say "YOUWISH"....arrogance at it's finest.

My 2003 Lincoln Town Car Limited's plate is - "TSAP" Which nobody knows
what it stands for, except the people you want to know, which would be the police. TSAP means "To Serve and Protect" the Police motto. It's a special plate with a police shield on it, too. It depicts that the owner has contributed $100.00 to a fund available to offspring of fallen police in the active line of duty. In addition a contribution of ten bucks a year. Since the Lincoln is my daily driver.....I never get a ticket, and never get stopped.

The best car/plate combination I ever saw was a Ferrari 250 LM with the plate 250 LM. The car was the actual 1965 Lemans winner and was going down Wilshire Blvd at 2:00AM doing 150MPH+. This car has changed hands for more than $1.5 million.

My ladyfriend's Toyota MR2 is "MRNOT" (said "Em-Are-Not" like the same of the car).
While I can't stand Honda I heard of an NSX with NSXTACY which is clever.

I swear to god, if I ever buy that Mark IV I've always wanted, I will get vanity plates that say "IVPLAY"!

BDERENU = Better than you. I had some sort of letter combo that made sense, but I forgot it, it was something like that. I was thinking BEDRENU, but that would be read as BED-RENU.

Yeah, that would get your car keyed pretty quickly if people got what it meant.

Some of them, like fkhonda, fukrice, 10MPG, gashog, etc etc would just get a lot of negative responces and would bring a lot of negative attention overall to the car. Me personally I'd want something clever and or subtle, or just the internal designation of the car..

Classic for a really fast car is AMF -stands for "Adios Mother F*ckers". That is what you say when you leave them behind. My dad knew a guy who had this on a wagon -that deserved to bear it! It was a Chevelle wagon with the mechanicals out of a SS 396 Big Block.

BTW, MY "TSAP" and "TPAS" cannot be misunderstood, as I have given $100 and pledged $10 bucks a year to the Police Org. that puts that $$$ into a fund for the children of slain officers in the line of duty, that said offspring can borrow to help pay for any type/form of higher education after High School. In so doing, ny NJ license plate also bears the gold Police Shield. (about the size of a walnut).

I saw a Porsche once (Driven by an "obviously-compensating-for-something" business type) with the number plate "VET EATR". Stupid MA only allows 6 letters, they let 7 on in the green plate days but now not only do you need a stupid front plate, but you can only have 6 characters. I wonder if they can do "DEL*.*"???
