Some of this is pretty impressive stuff. I have a 25th anniversary Meucci cue. Spyder 01-26-07, 03:04 AM ...draw? I love to play but am not very good and don't know much of the terminology or rules or whatnot. No more than anybody else that shoots in the local bar... xxpinballxx 01-26-07, 10:52 AM Meucci's are okay...I always loved McDermots. and then get the shaft milled down to 11mm instead of the regular 13mm. I use to be a big time player back in the day...even as far as going to NashvilleTenn. where I have family, to play Fats (Rudolph Wandurone) up in his hotel room where he was almost every day in the early 90's. He was nowhere as good as when he was in his younger days but thats not what he was about. It was about the showmanship he had. He had a table in this hotel the Hermitage. He would play people everyday...anyone...just had to sign up in the morning and first come first serve. Wasn't really anyone there I thought it would be a crazy line but a people would wander in from time to time. There were some regulars that played when no one else was there. I got two games out of him. He beat me but said was a very smart and calculating player. One of the best moments in my life. I don't play all that much these days but in the 90's I played 3 to five hours a day and on saturday I played from around 10am through till sunday night around 8pm at this pool hall called Chandly's. Bare bones pool hall nothing fancy the only one around here like it. codewize 01-26-07, 04:27 PM Well Meucci has a pretty full line of stuff. They make low end to high end cues. I don't really have a good history on mine as I bought it used. They have a new laminate shaft that's supposed to be pretty sweet. It's called the black dot and it's 35 layers. McDermot is also a great cue as is Cuetec. Draw is bottom english which causes the ball to reverse, generally after contacting something else. | |
