I have '05 STS. The sticker on the door recommends 30 PSI for all four tires.
The tires say max pressure 44 PSI. If I set them at 30 PSI, they look like they are almost flat. Any recommendations?

I have always kept mine at 30PSI cold....never had any problems.

The inflation on the side of the tire is a "maximum" not a recommended pressure.
The car was engineered to have 30 psi in the tires, you can play with it a little bit for road feel and tire wear but 30 cold is what you really want.
COLD is the key. I only adjust after the vehicle sits overnight.

In essence, 'cold' means that the tire has been stationary for at least 3 hours.
