: Unknown point of "clunk"

On occasion, I hear a clunk coming from the right rear of the car when I hit certain bumps. It's not very often so I can't seem to duplicate it enough to let the dealer hear what I hear. I do have the KARS stage III kit, but I'm relatively sure it is torqued correctly. No other suspension modifications. I think I read somewhere that someone actually had the shock rubber wear out and metal was hitting metal. Would I be able to see that without taking the shock off? Any other ideas for a common problem that would cause this annoying clunk? It's embarrassing to have a $50k luxury car that sounds like my worn out 1986 Suburban with 250k miles on it.

Check sway bar end links, my RF was just barley loose and it was driving me crazy. I too could not get it to do it on command. It seemed to do it just as you would come from a slow rolling stop and not all the time. It was not identifiable until I unloaded both tires at the same time before I found out which one it was.
