My girlfriend has been doing her residency at Lincoln Park Hospital in Chicago. The medical program there is far superior to EVMS, so I got a call yesterday saying I have been accepted to transfer!!

So starting 2-19-07 I will start my family medicine rotation... I am looking forward to it.

Looks like I will be in Chicago for the next 1.5-2 years.


Just wanted to share the good news... I will be taking the Cadillac with me and have sourced a set of 15 inch wheels with snow tires just in case. The condo my girlfriend and I are renting has a parking garage :sneaky:

Thats a cool town! I was just there last month as well as in 2004. I enjoyed the wind. The food is AWESOME.

Haha, not likely. I have a strict work out schedule and that fact that our new building has a Ballys Fitness center in the lower floor (we get free membership) was one of the top reasons I choose to live there.

The meet in May is the weekend of the 18th - 20th in Des Moines. Tons of interest for it so far, we're hoping for a turnout that dwarfs Florida!

Nice! Chicago is a great town, you'll always have something to do. Not to mention the amazing food and more sports teams than you know what to do with. I'm moving downtown around September for college.

There's an awesome Italian restaurant on the west side. The name escapes me, but the meatball was the size of my head. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT MEATBALL! Too bad I forgot the place where I bought it.

I wish they would do something to make that joint(HRI) bigger. Every time I go its packed. Every day its packed and today jeeezzz.

Deffinately would be nice. We normally don't go inside to eat. My mom just goes to Jewel Osco to get the pre-cooked frozen Pizzas. Still good as made fresh in the restaurant mmm damn I want Pizza!

I leave tomorrow at 5am from Virginia to head to Chicago. I plan to make the 1,000 mile trip in one day. The Fleetwood is set to go with fresh fluids and rotated tires. :thumbsup:

Be prepared, it's cold as hell right now! I looked at the outside temp in my car and it got down to 11 degrees today.

It is 70 degrees in my parking garage and the hospital garage is covered (not heated)... so I don't feel the cold.

I feel like I am going to like this place in a month or so when it warms up. So far so good...
