View Full Version : Moving to Chicago at the end of the month!!! 96Fleetwood 01-14-07, 11:20 AM My girlfriend has been doing her residency at Lincoln Park Hospital in Chicago. The medical program there is far superior to EVMS, so I got a call yesterday saying I have been accepted to transfer!!
So starting 2-19-07 I will start my family medicine rotation... I am looking forward to it.
Looks like I will be in Chicago for the next 1.5-2 years.
Just wanted to share the good news... I will be taking the Cadillac with me and have sourced a set of 15 inch wheels with snow tires just in case. The condo my girlfriend and I are renting has a parking garage :sneaky:
Take care,
Elias "Lelo" Shaheen Thats a cool town! I was just there last month as well as in 2004. I enjoyed the wind. The food is AWESOME.
I guarantee, you WILL get very fat. I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-14-07, 11:35 AM Sweet! Now you can make it to the Midwest meet in May! 96Fleetwood 01-14-07, 11:49 AM I am very excited! Although, my heart still longs to go back to Miami which I will someday.
I guarantee, you WILL get very fat.
Haha, not likely. I have a strict work out schedule and that fact that our new building has a Ballys Fitness center in the lower floor (we get free membership) was one of the top reasons I choose to live there.
Tell me more about this MidWest meet... I want to meet some of you! 90Brougham350 01-14-07, 12:21 PM Glad to hear you were accepted to transfer Elias! Chicago is a great town, been there half a dozen times in my life and had a good time all of them.
The meet in May is the weekend of the 18th - 20th in Des Moines. Tons of interest for it so far, we're hoping for a turnout that dwarfs Florida!
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/local-cadillac-clubs-meets/89370-midwest-meet-spring-07-a.html Nice! Chicago is a great town, you'll always have something to do. Not to mention the amazing food and more sports teams than you know what to do with. I'm moving downtown around September for college.
Unfortunatley you'll miss the auto show by one day :helpless: 96Fleetwood 01-14-07, 12:51 PM Unfortunatley you'll miss the auto show by one day :helpless:
Actually I am moving up there Feb. 1st, but I start Feb. 19th.. so I will make it for the auto show
I will try my best to make it to the MidWest Meet.. CadillacSTS2003sgurl 01-14-07, 01:27 PM I live in Lincoln Park :D and I believe I know where that hospital is that your gf works at. You'll deffinately enjoy it! There's an awesome Italian restaurant on the west side. The name escapes me, but the meatball was the size of my head. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT MEATBALL! Too bad I forgot the place where I bought it. I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-14-07, 03:43 PM I will try my best to make it to the MidWest Meet..

We normally don't go inside to eat. My mom just goes to Jewel Osco to get the pre-cooked frozen Pizzas. Still good as made fresh in the restaurant mmm damn I want Pizza! 96Fleetwood 01-30-07, 06:38 AM I leave tomorrow at 5am from Virginia to head to Chicago. You will probably hear the crisp sophisticated sound of the Borla exhaust before you see it  Be prepared, it's cold as hell right now! I looked at the outside temp in my car and it got down to 11 degrees today. 96Fleetwood 02-06-07, 01:45 PM It is 70 degrees in my parking garage and the hospital garage is covered (not heated)... so I don't feel the cold.
I feel like I am going to like this place in a month or so when it warms up. So far so good...
Here are a few pics of my new place:

Mine hasn't moved in the past 6 days, it is resting comforably in the heated parking garage. Been driving my girlfriend's Infiniti QX4 instead. CadillacSTS2003sgurl 02-09-07, 10:27 AM Smart man  |
