I got about half an hour left at work and it has just been one of those days where there is literally nothing to do. I finished my "chores" 45minutes into my shift and since then have surfed the net.

I've come to a conclusion - the internet is now officially boring.

The proxy at job does a great job blocking out information deemed inappropiate [even trying to find public proxies to by-pass it haha.]

I managed to install Firefox 2.0 on the system thank god they bypass the administration installation requirements but I couldn't get Flash Player [sniff.] Firefox allowed me to few some websites that I wanted to read that would kill IE with an "Execution Error."

I spent about an hour scouring the net for a zipped downloaded file of the add-on as "freeware and shareware" is blocked by the proxy thus not allowing any YouTubing.

I read up on the new Intel line-up and some things for CES 2007.

I read rumors of a third X-Box 360 which sort of irritates me as I just bought mine and if a third one is released, with HDMI output and supposedly a 120GB drive, then mine is more useless. [They should really toss WiFi if they do make a third model I'd sell mine for that booo to no WiFi!!! on original models.]

I hate reading "...being released by AMD [formerly known as ATI]..." in articles relating to new video hardware from the now dead ATI facilities.

nVidia's 8x00 series really beat the crap out of ATI's X19x0 series. Amazing what a second core can do.

OLED screens look amazing but they noted that the images where still images slowly changing which makes me ponder their gaming ability.

Sony announced a 70" LCD at $33K. DAMN! Who's gonna be the first to get one fo those?

Cisco might have more of a chance then some experts believe in the whole "iPhone" fiasco. In direct to this if Cisco wins the copyright lawsuit Cisco will have to openly sue other companies that currently use the "iPhone" moniker as there is no "fair-use" exceptions on copyrighte trademarks [basically Cisco can't choose who can't or can use their trademark either all use it no one uses it.]

Motorola's [or was it Nokia's?] iFONE line up is excepted from any possible lawsuit as it is a play on words and not a direct infringement.

the 2008 CTS looks sweet but I'd still kill for that Chinese SLS.

I read up on UMPCs not knowing what they were until it hit me "Ultimate/Ultra Mobile Personal computers" and then it hit me that is something Pinball would dig.

The concept [fake or no] of that 2010 Trans-Am is hawt but looks way to similar to the Camaro.

My friend wants to build a server so I've been reading on the new Intel Memrone [I don't know jack about servers haha.]

I then day dreamed how I'd spend my money if I hit a 250-Million dollar lottery. I think I'd import a Chinese SLS haha.

Okay typing this up killed about fifteen minutes. I love lurking around these forums always some random link to something that manages to assininate a few minutes of my life.

If anyone knows how to by pass a proxy using Firefox or has a zipped Flash player you should hook me up because I might have to be working Martin Luther King Jr day and I'd love to hit YouTube for a few hours.

Oh my girlfriend has my STS so I'm driving her 97 Civic and boy do I miss my chariot. the car ride today is going to be a tad depressing [her muffler is going and it sounds like a fart cannon.] Anyone want to race me? I sound fast! haha.

I'm done, take care guys happy MLKJ-DAY!

$33k for a 70" Sony LCD? Today at Best Buy I saw a 71" 1080P DLP Samsung for about $5k (which I'm trying to convince my dad into buying to replace his 63" PanasonicCRT).

There's a video on youtube of this supposed HDMI 360 codemaned "Zephyr".

Luckily for me I bought the Best Buy warranty witht my 360. So if this really does come out I can just trade mine in and pay the difference.

I have the 1080P Samsung. Excellent picture. I would say you only see the benefits if you have a blue-ray DVD player. So if you don't see yourself buying one anytime soon, save the money and get the 1080i TV if it is cheaper.

Yea but it has to be viewed in at least HDTV to look good. If it is regular broadcast the picture looks like crap. The 1080P wants to show a hole lot clearer image then the cable company wants to broadcast. The HDTV channels look great but the blue-ray movies are incredible.

I have an HD DVD player so we're covered there. Looks amazing already on my 23" Samsung in my room on 720P, I can only imagine it with an extra 48 inches and 1080P.

I measured the space our current TV is in and we can fit 72", how's that for a tight fit :thepan:
