I think I have a leak in my radiator and would like to replace it with the best quality. Normally I always use AC Delco parts but seems I have read some threads (on other forums) that say aftermarket might be better for the radiator. The AC Delco is a little more expensive then the after market but that does not bother me if the quality is OK.

Has anyone replaced their radiator with an AC delco that could comment on the quality?

Thanks.

Use the delco, I have installed to many a/m and they suck, the main problem is for the trans cooler lines is a universal and come loose all the time. plus the core and sidetanks are better quality on the delco

Look around here. We just had a recent discussion on radiators and peoples experience.

Thanks for the info. I think I will probably stick with AC Delco.

I am in the process of replacing my radiator and am having troubles getting a small AC line clamp removed on the drivers side of the radiator. The clamp is a very tight fit and I can't seem to get anything in there. I removed the headlamp thinking that might help but it did not. I have also removed the air cleaner assembly and looks like I might have to remove the module (ecu ??) below the cleaner as well (which I can't figure out how it comes out :-) . I have spent a couple of hours searching the archives and have found nothing on this darn clamp.

Anyone run into this before?

Thanks.

Finaly got the clamp removed using a long double box end 7MM wrench. Now that I think about it a regular length box end would probably do it, just make sure you come in from the engine side and not the top.
