hey all im new to the forum just got my cts in nov... already driving it everywhere... went on a canyon run this past weekend with a few bmw friends...yes yes i know bmw root of all evil.... anyways id be happy to say i havent modded anything yet and i gave them a hell of a run came in 2nd losing to a mseries z3 with mods... 328s and new 330 for some reason werent able to handle as well as my cts....

ok so bottom line sorry just thought id try explaining y i need the volant help... i was wondering if you anywhere in los angeles that does carry the volant intake pretty cheap... if i can find something ill pick it up for this weekends run in malibu...for sure ill take them since ill get even extra 5hp.... o and already im working my rear off for a V..any help would be appreciated ...thanks all

o also the 06 volant intake does fit right... since its exactly the same but some reason they dont have 1 out for 07

btw...all u k&n people ive had it on a porsche and a vw....does nothing but make a oem intake look much nicer..lol

I got my Volant off e-bay. I got it for like 230 shipped IIRC. Actually, a while back a dyno run was performed on all the available intakes and the volant added 13hp AT THE WHEELS. best choice for the 3.6!! :cloud9:

I bought my volant (for an 03 cts) from lildevilmotorsports.com, but that website doesnt seem to be up anymore. Just google "volant" and you should be able to find some websites that carry them. I'm pretty sure the volant boxes are the same from 2004 and up so as long as you dont get one for the 03 you should be good.

And just to play the devils advocate for a second, I dont think K&N makes a filter to fit our stock airbox. Instead they make a unit that replaces the filter box and intake tube (the filter just sits out in the open in the engine bay surounded by some cardboard to "shield" it from hot engine air).

Even though you're WRONG about the K&N, I'll still invite you to join us for our So Cal meet. It's in another thread here somewhere.

no what i was saying is k&n entire unit makes the oem box look a lot nicer.. come on as big as k&n and make a crappy box...anyways atleast thats what i say... um ya i been reading the post for LA meet but if u guys gonna head to SD i dunno if ill join u for that...let me know exactly what time u guys plan it and sure i might join id love to see a few different things and start thinking what i wanna mod..thanks again guys.. reason i wanted something local to install it today..lol
