I don't think it's that easy. I may be wrong but I think there's more to the system than the sensor. Wait, are you talking about you have RainSense and you need something R&R or you're trying to add it?

I don't have it and I want it. I have a Buick Park Ultra that has rainsense and tire pressure monitor and I know my deville is a base model but to not even have rainsense is a shame and I love it on my buick!!!!

This might be a long shot but it also might be worth checking out...

Bavarian Autosport (www.bavauto.com) has a kit for $110 to add rain sensing wipers to a vehicle that did not come with them. Granted they sell to BMW enthusiasts however it might work for any vehicle. It has a sensor that goes on the windshield and and on/off button so I cannot imagine it is a "plug-n-play" kind of deal. Search part no. RT-50, description is Rain Tracker.

Good luck ~

I think you are in for a big job and trying to find a lot of parts and wire harnesing. Even getting the sensor stuck to the window requires a special clear sticky pad and costs something like $25.00.
The RT-50 may dissapoint you as well. They suggest you have the cars wiring diagram when you do this job.
If you know of all the parts, and a salvage yard has a car with one in it, I would get the parts and start the project.

I disabled my rainsense as I found it annoying...

I think the RainSense modules talks on the CAN2 bus. So, you might need to interface it to one of the car's computers and you might also need a Tech 2 tool to enable it.

IIRC, the FSM says that the RainSense module tells the headlights to turn on via the CAN2 Bus.

Rainsense in my 03 STS works flawlessly.

I'm with you Thu. My RainSense is also flawless. I don't understand why so many people complain about such an excellent feature.

I agree; I think it's a great feature. I cannot always find the right setting with the intermittent wiper settings like in my '95 Deville. I find I'm always adjusting it when the rain intensity is inconsistent. RainSense takes care of the guess work!
