I'm looking to have these installed on my 05. I wondered about how long it takes to trim the rear fascia and install them?

Any ideas?

If you want another bolt on option for the 3.6 then Borla has a part number for us, but hasn't produced any yet. The R&D department told me it'll be for sale within the next 2 months. I can't wait!!

Also, I'm going to get a group buy together for the 3.6 Borla. So we can all get it cheaper. :-)

I have corsa tips but I also have the full exhaust. Are you looking for someone that just has the tips?

I was in the group buy fot the Corsa''s on the CTS-V forum and they are sitting in my livingroom. I am going to call a few places to see how much they would charge, but first I wanted to get some feedback from anyone that has the dual pro-tip Corsa system.

Wow you have a Moonstone 2005! I thought I was the only one in the world with that color, cause I haven't seen another one in my area in two years, & I thought I was special! The color Rocks!

The day after it arrived from Illinois I took it to the DMV to get licensed, and guess what - I saw another one. Turns out they live about 1/2 mile away from me. See them at least once a week. I went to the dealer to get some touch-up paint and that color is listed as Spiral Grey in their books. A friend of mine has a GMC 1 ton Dually that is Spiral Grey. I parked next to it one day and I could not tell much difference.

I love how the metalflake comes alive in the sunlight.

I've installed those on a few customers' cars, and they're badass. Trimming the rear fascia should only take 5 minutes with a Dremmel tool, just make sure that you put lots of masking tape over that area of the bumper, otherwise you might get a little left over line from where you mark it. It also helps prevent little stringy pieces of plastic from hanging off the edges.

Yeah I have the catback system shown above. It cost me $115 to have a local shop install it. They also trimmed the rear bumper for me.

I like the fact that my Corsa is endorsed by GM. You have to reuse the OEM resonator. I didn't like that idea so I used the CTS-V larger resonator. The sound is nice. The look is very badass and euro looking IMO.

When you purchase the Corsa it comes with the templates. It takes about 5 minutes to cut. The look is great.

Finally got them installed. It took them about 30 minutes to trim each side, but they did a great job. I thought this was a catback system but it is a resonator-back system. The sound is nice but still too quite. Did any of you guys with the system do away with the resonator completely? I think I will go back and have them replace the resonator with an X-Pipe or just straight pipes.

Bob did that, but says it was too loud. He put a V resonator on

Ryan is right. Unless you have a high threshold for noise you won't like the X-pipe. Definately not a Cadillac sound. I removed mine one week later. I was embarrassed. I used the larger 2 1/2" CTS-V resonator. Bought it used from a V member.

This seems to be a good way to go. I once had a cherry bomb on my volvo. That came off real quick!

I have a Magnaflow Catback system on my V and an X-Pipe replaced the resonator. It is definately not "your father's Cadillac" sound. Bob, have you heard a V without the resonator? Maybe a setup like mine, or a Corsa Catback system. If you have, was your system without the resonator louder?

I pulled off the resonator today and put in an X-Pipe. I like it, you can hear it now. Still not nearly as loud as the Corsa Indy setup on the Corvette.

ps: If anyone needs the templates drop me a note.

I bought the car for my 17 year old daughter. Personally, I don't care for the sound of a V6, period. But for me to teach her heel & toe I need to be able to hear the thing. She likes it and it really sounds like an old Jaguar XKE.
