I just recently bought a 1997 Seville STS and i want to know what it runs in the 1/4 mile. Just a like 3 days ago it started misfireing so i bought this iridium (or sumthin like that) spark plugs, and that is my only mod. The company said that the plugs were supposed to take 0.7 seconds of the acceleration from 0 - 150 KPH (however much that is in MPH) and i just wanted to know what they run...

0-150kph is about 0-90mph. The 1/4 mile will probably tick by in about 14.8-15.0

well then there must be other sorts of mods on the car, because i raced my brother in his 83 Mustang. He has a lot of mods done and he runs about a 14.0 / 13.9 and it was a really close race and in the end i beat him.. Plus i also saw a thing on caddyinfo.com, this guy had a 97 STS and it ran a 14.7 stock.. completely stock he said.

From what most knowledgable people on this board has stated the best spark plugs to use our the ad delco dual platinum plugs. I would suggest to you to replace the plugs you got swindled into buying and change to ac delco. You will probably get better results. Also do a search on spark plugs on this board and read on what people have said about spark plugs.

I'm giving you the times that someone not familiar with the car are likely to run man. If you do better, congrats, but I don't want you to be beating yourself up, or wondering what's wrong when you can't match someone elses speed. I was a 14.730 in a 97 Eldorado, base model. The 3.11 gears and 275 horses. Partially seems to be that a 2.2 60' time is rather strong.

I bought these plugs from a very knowledgable person. One of my dads friend, he really knows his stuff. He said that they are much better then the AC Delco and the Bosch Platinum and all the other ones too.

About the spark plugs i would suggest you search earlier posts conserning them. The northstar was designed to run on the ac delco plugs not the iridium. And does your friend that is knowledgable know the northstar, work on a northstar or even drive a northstar. There are many people on this and other boards who do work on and own northstars that will tell you to only use ac delco. I dont know enough about engines to explain why but do some research and read and you will see what i am talking about. Pull those plugs and go with ac delco regardless what the friend has said. Just my 2 cents.

Although those rice burners i see at the track sometimes they run under 10 secs amazing well amazing they make it down the track at all anyway somehow they are getting traction. Only thing is they usually blow up by the end of the day. I ran almost a flat 9 in a 900 some odd HP nova out by orlando Tell you the truth it scared the hell out of me car got squigilly once is enough for me cause i ran to fast and they banned me from track for the day:annoyed: . But it was definetly an experience. With my Eldo i would imagine either i burn the tires or somehow launch perfectly it would take lots of practice my traction control is disabled permemtly.
