Well it's Monday, time to work. I removed the stock ones and replaced with the V ones. Removing was OK, hard to remove the side snaps from the body. Installing was also OK. I did it by myself, it would be easier to have someone to help align the snaps on the front pieces. I like the new cleaner look.
I don't know what Reed has in his Q&A section relating to this. I have a mechanics manual that I used. If someone wants the instructions I can make a copy.
Now what will I do on Tuesday? :alchi:

No, I never thought to take a picture with nothing on. Basically it's recessed a little with the holes on the side and underside for the attachment snaps to go into.

It's not a "Big" different look, just a "Cleaner" one. The new skirts have a continuous bottom edge, not like the stock one that shows the cutouts for the clips. It makes the side look better. :cool2:

those skirts are WAY better. i HATE standing back and seeing those absolutely DUMB clips from the side of my car. i mean, nothing says "luxury" like body clips. i even contemplated a thin coat of white paint to mask the slips more. the stock sideskirts look so cheap to me. i need a pair of these...i actually bid on them a few times but i think you knuckleheads worked this out far in advance...

also, Fast can you make me a copy of the manual relating to this? (if it's not too many pages). would like it for reference...maybe a spring activity.

Are those the Cadillac Rocker Panel Moldings or are they an aftermarket set? I have an 06 Laser Red and was thinking of adding the OEM ones; but, from the pictures it's hard to distinguish a difference.

Does anyone know where to get the Vogue Side Skirts that come in the XTi package,i like those they look simple but nice
Edit: I tried calling Vogue and they said that they only sell it as a package Side skirts, 18", or 20" vogue rims and tires, spoiler, new Sport Grill (3d Z) or CTS V Grill, already painted and mounted for only $5,000 not that bad for the whole package but a little pricie for skirts only. that it is what im looking for

I was considering purchasing these.

When I saw the term "side skirts" I was thinking fender skirts that go over the rear wheels. Then I was thinking of continental kits to go with it as well. You know like in the movie grease. I'm happy, no VERY happy to see I was wrong!

I have the skirts on my light platinum and i think it looks killer with the V front end conversion, really finishes off the look. Without the V skirts i think the car looked really dull from the sides. These things should have been on the regular CTS, they really go good with the lines on the car. (The lines that are non-existent in the new "improved" 2008)

"tommer" just sent me a e-mail on his update concerning his side panels, he can't post yet so here is his info: I slected 6 pictures. :cool2:

Got it done, took about a half hour, take the front off first, bottom clips come off easy the top are a little harder I tried to save them to reuse but almost all the clips break and the old rocker panel breaks where it was clipped on, no big deal ,saved them just in case I or someone else ever needs one. I did jack up the car and put it on stands that makes it a lot easier to get to.I used a flat screwdriver that’s all you need when I pried on the old panel I did it where the emblem would be so you can’t see any scratches then when I could get my fingers in there just pull them off. To put the new ones on start in the back line up the plastic screws to the holes an push on you’ll hear it snap on then slide the front into the slot of the back one push up and snap into place be sure to take the tape off the emblem right before you do the snap in. Brian if this sounds right send it on if I left out anything just change it ok? Tom I’ll send 4 pics now then 4 more

Mine were $330.00 from eBay and tommer's were $150.00, we both have white and they came that color. See pose #15 for copy of instructions.
