My parents have put one on their Mazda MPV and the front end still looks brand new. That is saying a lot since they live in the Denver area with all of the sand and rocks on their roads.
The only disadvantage for me is that there is a line where the bra ends and also where the bra is covering, the area can't be waxed and shiny like the rest of the car.
Saying all of that, I am also planning on getting one for just the lower bumper on my SRX and put it on as soon as the weather warms up. Let us know what you end up doing.

I have an '05 SRX and have the 3M product on the car. It is great. Living in NYC with lots of junk bouncing off the car and lots of motorists who park by feel, it is essential. It is on both bumpers, mirrors, headlights, the front 8" of the hood and the grille strips.
The only caveat is that it should be installed by one of the 3M certified installers for it is a difficult job which takes a good four hours, and it is the only way to have the product fully waranteed by 3M.
Great product on a really fine vehicle.
Again, don't try this yourself. Leave it toa pro.
