It has been a while since I have browsed the forums in the last year or so. Life has become interesting to say the least...
I retire in May from the Shipyard and have been trying to finish several projects, brief my replacement, and work my youngest son up through the ranks before I leave.
We have been expanding our family business. My wife has been the main executive but her Lupus has taken a toll on her recently and she is near end stage renal failure... so I have been assuming most of those responsibilities as well.
We are hoping our daughter or her brother will be a positive cross match for a kidney transplant, keep your fingers crossed.
In the last two years I put some of my money into real estate and have been buying 3-4 houses/year and turning them over or renting them. It works great that my youngest son's fiancee is a real estate agent.
I am also in the process of buying a full service gas station. They have not accepted my offer yet, but I hope to hear some good news on Monday. This will keep me busy after I retire.
I see that my oldest son has been keeping the forum abreast of my car purchases. It is a hobby that will never die. I have 8 cars now.. thanks to my son Elias who has sold me a couple on eBay to get some room back.
All in all that is what has been going on. I don't see some of the oldies but goodies anymore but Sandy (I only browsed for 20 minutes). Seems like others have dropped out as well?
