I think it's going to be a hit as long as the price is right.

OK, I hope this link is not dead like last time.

I've never been a huge fan of convertibles... but this I like. If they could make a hardtop convertible I think that would be perfect.

Meerrrrow. I like it. Black is going to look very good on that car.

If they make them. I will buy it. Unless the Trans Am looks better.

Not sure but I think they aren't going to build the TA. Pontiac will build the next gen GTO instead.

So after 1 or maybe 2 years of production what is the progression for a 'retro' car? Do they graduate to the 70's body style and continue up through the demise again -- does anyone want to see the retro 84 Camaro?

I think retro cars look cool and it is a very nice idea and may well be worth 1-2 years of sales but I would be very interested in the vision beyond that.

Can't wait to see these "pony" car retros...
74 Mustang... 82 Camaro and 84 Chargers -- those will ROCK.. :bighead:

A black and gold '76 Cobra II was one of my first cars with a 302. It weighed nothing and was a ballsy little car. I used to smoke a lot of people who under estimated what it had. I had a lot of fun in it.

That T-top pinto looking "thing" on top, I actually wouldn't mind having one. It was always one of my favorite hot wheels when I was a kid! :)

I sure hope I'm still working for Chevy when those roll into the showrooms!

Oh my GOD I want one! That just looks so hard ass with the trans am ram air hood. The exterior colors I hope will come in a Le Mas blue with white striping. The neon colors inside wrapping around the speedo and RPM is just so neat (I can't think of a better word) I'm practically drooling over this car, maybe the caddy might have to wait...

I am getting one. I have been saving and that will be the replacement for the WS6...
Nothing wrong with a Third Gen with a 350 TPI they were good for low to mid 14 second 1/4 miles Stock...I think they look good

Without the thrid gen, there would not have been a 4th gen and the soon to be 5th gen.

All I know is that I need to find a new job that pays a hell of a lot more. With all these retro concepts coming out, and everything I want to do to my CTS, I have a lot I want spend $$$ I dont have on.

It's ashame about the TA. I would've love to see what they'd come up with.

I hope they get the body flex under control. The old unibody t-tops and ragtops were not very rigid. The big doors were a problem because of it. Not like my '65 GTO ragtop with a full frame.

Spyder, you probably know this but that "Pinto-looking thing" is a Mustang II.

I understand your concern about the body flex, I don’t like that loose feeling in the ride, it makes the car feel cheap. I think cars have come a long way from the older uni-body ragtops. For example, the XLR V is a hard top convertible, I had one for 3 days over the summer, no body flex with the top down. Lets hope this car is along the same lines, if GM buids it.

I’m surprised at my wife’s 05 Sebering convertible, it even has a little body flex, that’s disappointing.

I'm very impressed with this concept. I think it's sharper than hell to look at, and I think it would sell like hotcakes if they built it. I'd consider one, but I guess we'll have to see if the CTS Coupe is available as a V!
