You all are pretty techy. I just got a Nano for Christmas. Does anyone have experience with the Monster iCarPlay™ (http://www.monstercable.com/productPage.asp?pin=3233) ? I thought it would work well in my car and boat. It's an FM transmtter as well as receiver and has an external power cable. Does anyone know what the range is?

I would say 7-10 feet for clear signals. A coworker has one in his Toyota Matrix and the sound is clear, though not as good as my line input.

Thanks Steve. That range will work in my boat. You just can't beat a direct line.
They all suck. 10 feet at best.

If you haven't bought it yet go check out the DLO transpod.
much better product that the monster and has a dock where as the monster is just a long cable into the ipod itself. The transpod is one of the best rated FM transmitters on the market. much better choice and works ten times better than any transmitter I ever used. A good deal of work will go into the location of the dock and the mounting bracket so as to make the unit look right! I placed mine a couple times before getting perfect for me...
give it a look and see what you think!

This is what I use on my car right now. Its sounds horrible but its all about the signal......Before my 06 i had a 1997 Jetta and it worked great on that car....No static and sounded very clear
