Was wondering how good or how bad glasspacks wound sound on an STS. It was a thought i just had and was curious if anybody has glasspacks on their car or has heard them or just your opinions on them.
Yeah! Wasn't really a serious thought. I saw them on Summit for around $20 and knew they sounded good on muscle cars but was curious on something with a N*. I probably will go with performance mufflers when I do my exhaust this spring.
i think glasspacks sound like shit on ANYTHING
muscle or lux touring...
imho if your running 8 cycls you outta do it right and dont make it sound louder with an amplifier in the exhaust system, just make the exhaust more free flowing to liven it up
Flowmasters, Flowtech Afterburners, Edelbrock SDT,Dynomax Super Turbos or better or Borlas. I have had Corvette Super Turbos from Dynomax since 91 and they just wore out.
Glasspacks don't really change the sound of a car from what it would sound like with no mufflers. They just make it a bit quieter. I think they'd sound fine on a N* (I ran mine around for a day with no mufflers, it sounded nice IMO) but glasspacks would be just too loud.
