Last night, I came back from about a 40 mile drive, stopped at a store real quick. Came out, it wouldnt crank right up like normal. Cranked the second time, started right up. This morning, it took about 30 times to get it to turn over. Now it turns over everytime like normal. I'm afraid to drive it and get stuck. Just wondering if any of you have had this problem? :thepan: :thepan:

Drove it around for about 5 mins, came back. Turned it off then tried to crank, took 3 times to turn over, when it turns over it acts like its not getting gas, wants to stall out till I punch the gas then its ok after about 3 seconds... Fuel filter??

If it wont turn over either the starter is dieing or the battery is bad. If it was anything to do with fuel injection the starter will work but it wont do anything more.

Turn over and cranking are one in the same. I think you are using "turn over" in the same context as starting. If I am correct, I'd get a fuel pressure guage on it and see what kind of fuel pressure you have. Fuel filter is not likely causing the problem. I'd suspect a weak pump heading south.

Turns out it was a bad idle control motor.. ehh..Better than a fuel pump I guess..

I am having the exact same problem with my 96 and it only has 82,000 miles. How much did the idler arm take you for? I was thinking it was my fuel pump also.
