Hello Everyone! I just purchased my Escalade on Saturday and I love it. The only problem I have is that the temp display on my rear view mirror is displaying an OC. I went to the Caddy dealer, he told me to drive around in a circle 3 times to correct the problem. Does anyone know if thats true or what will actually correct the problem?

As odd as it sounds, that is the recommended method for resetting the comp. I have never had that error, but go find any empty parking lot (maybe a school) and give it a try.

Bear's correct. But I wonder why it is coming on. I think that indicates the battery has been disconnected for an exted period of time :hmm: .But foremost enjoy the CADDY!!! :coolgleam

At the base of the mirror there is a sensor that is clipped to the mount. If it is just hanging there the compass won't be accurate. As for the temp sensor, I haven't looked at mine in awhile, I think its mounted to the winshield somewhere. PM me if you still need help and will run down and look at mine:) .

Hello, as far as 99-00 Escaldes go, I've got some info about maintaining and diagnosing common problems. How many miles are on it?----do this for me drive 65mph-70 with the windows up and a/c or music---any vibrations?, let me know. My lade has 68K. Over the weekend I drove around town going 65-70mph with the radio on, and had no problems with vibration.

OC means that the temp sensor for the mirror is dicsonnected, look behind the grill for a little square unit that a harness pugs into, this is the temp sensor for the mirror.

First look at the seven pin connector in the back of the mirror and look at the mirror for any bent pins or popped out female receptacles on the seven pin connector.

Then look at the one behind the grille if that did not fix it.

Is there any way to make the display toggle automatically between the temp. & compass??? Like go back & forth automatically between the two???
