: Escalade 02 gps Navigation?

I Just Purchase this 2002 cadillac escalade. I would Like to instal a factory navigation. people are telling me that it doesnt fit in my truck. is there anyone who has installed this in a 02?

u have to buy the 03 bezel, it wont fit in the 02

No, it will not work with your 2002. The official GM Navigation systems are made for 2003-2006 models.

but what happends if i get the 03-05 bezel... If i get the factory Navi will it run with my computer on board? will the wires fit in the rear?

AFAIK I think the use an OEM cadillac nav in the 02 escalades is a no-can-do. I think the entire way the system connects to the onstar, etc, is different from the later years. Maybe someone who was feeling particularly saucy could somehow attempt it but I think that would be risking severely messing some things. Just my 2¢

The 2002 doesn't have the same Class II Data Bus system that the 03+ does. It would be a pain in the butt to retrofit all of that stuff into an 02. The cheapest and easiest way is aftermarket.

In addition, you will get more options and features from using a aftermarket system than the factory GM units. You can find some that sit in the same place, play DVD's, Navigation, XM, Bluetooth, and more.
