Observation: No Blue Chip here at all---Am I unique or dumb?Actually, you and Mortncyn are the only two with color--everyone else is "grey scale", i.e. white, blacks, moonstone and silver. I can't speak for the others, but I don't do colors anymore because I know I will be tired of whatever I choose within a few months. Silver always looks good (but never great)--new or old, clean or dirty. Can't say the same about other colors-especially black, moonstone or blue! That's why I believe silver has surpassed white as the most popular new vehicle color--low risk, low maintenance. For the record, I think the blue SRX looks great--it's just not for lazy me!:bouncy:

Got mine on June 18th. Moonstone w/Ebony interior, 4.6 NorthStar v8, all-wheel drive, no 3rd row seat, Ultraview, rear seat DVD, Navigation (love the 1791 code). It's in the shop today as I'm having a pair of MagnaFlow mufflers installed...can't wait to see whether or not I notice any performance gain. Hopefully I can get at least 20-25 additional hp out of it.

Every Possible Option Available (except it didn't have the little glass plus window over the 3rd row).
Silver Green with Neutral Tan interior.
It goes back to dealer this week for all the metal trimmins'. Mesh Grille, Stainless Steel: rockers, side guards, window pillars, luggage rack and rear liscense plate surround. Interior gets the additional wood inserts (to hopefully offset the cheap-looking speedo cluster).
Traded in my gold exterior/black interior BMW X5 3.0 and love going back to the heavy but smooth glide-ride vs the tight performance-feel-the-road ride.
Was very pleased with the employee discount program and was stunned at the trade-in value of my X5 as I got $1,000 more than I wanted (that's because they had already sold it the BMW dealership across the street before I even signed the paperwork).
My car payments are smaller then the chevy camaro convertible I bought in '96!
Built a new house in a Chicago Ghetto and I'm already receiving acceptance by the neighboorhood regulars. They never noticed me in the X5.
Looked at a blue chip/gray leather SRX first and almost didn't buy a SRX as I discovered (to me only) the darker versions could pass for being a funeral hearse. So I searched the inventory for a lighter color that would be a little unusual and loved the silver green with light interior. but my dog christened the chairs with paw prints the second she hopped in. :2thumbs:

- 10.2" Flip Down Monitor w/ Built in DVD Player and TV Tuner for Third Row
- PS2 with Wireless Controllers
- AV Unit Selector for abililty to watch different sources on all monitors
- Hard Wired headphone jacks throughout vehicle (each assigned to a monitor) to prevent interference of different signals with wireless headphones
- Pioneer 6.5" Component Speakers with 1" tweaters front and back (Overhead lights in second row were replaced with tweaters. Buttons were wired to work with lights located on 10.2" flip down.)
- 8" Kicker w/ amp installed in place of factory subwoofer (out of sight)
- Factory radio remains because of computer (tire pressure, oil life, outside temp, etc.) was wired to independant speaker in driver door for on-star and park assist

- Also added Westin Sport Series Aerodynamic Roof Racks (very handy to keep inside clean when transporting misc items)

Also, was looking at picture of SRX at 2004 Auto Show in Denver and saw what looked like a painted brush guard and maybe a brushed aluminum trim on the air dam that says SRX. Does anyone know about these items?

I looked at the picture found at gmgoodwrench.com and could not see anything installed on the SRX. Maybe it's because the picture is rather small, but I would hate to order a part that I can't see first. Thanks for your help.

and 18" wheels (dealer swapped them from one that had them optional, didn't charge me but i'm sure i paid somehow).

I have just picked up my 2006 SRX Black V8 AWD. My initial impression is very good. I also have a 2005 CTS that won me over from years of BMW ownership. I still have a restored BMW.
While the SRX does not handle like my CTS, it does not handle like the truck based SUV I have driven. I love the Cadillac Look. As it has so many times been said, it is a look, you either love or hate. That was much my exxperience with BMW. It became an aquired taste.
Generally I have enjoyed the forum, although, it seems we all spend more time on the negatives than the positives. I think total perfectiion is impossible.

Well, I have the rattle in the UltraView Sun Roof. The first time it was attempted to be repaired, it came back with no interior lights and the roof still rattled. It has gone to 2 different Cadi Service places, all together 7 asttempts to ge tthe roof and lights back to normal with NO success, in 3 weeks. GM is involved and looks like they want the car back under the lemon law. I love my car, but to be honest, between the rattle ans lights, and the new rattle in the driver side dash vent rattling, I am going nuts. They said they found 3 burnt wires in the rear resulting in the fuse problem with regard to the lights, which still dont work after the trpair, for the 5th time,,, and the roof, major recall on the hardware, replaced 7 times, resulting in still rattling. Everyone is baffled and I am sick of renting cars, which GM pays for by the way.

I have to say it, but it has been some time since I have been this smitten. This car has really captured my heart. She is nicknamed "Lady" and she is my first Cadillac. If the rest of the Marquee is like the SRX, I'll be a Caddie man for life. It was a low mileage lease trade in by a Doctors wife and is in new condition. I had her reshod in some new Michelins and I'm looking for someone who has installed a IPod through the Bose system.

Thank you! I do like things with motors... Bought the SRX from a Chrysler dealer in Phoenix. Saw it on Auto Trader Online for $18,999. Called and offered them $14,500. They called back and countered at $15,016. Next day, hopped on Southwest with a cashiers check, and drove the car home. It was actually nicer than I expected, fundamentally in "new condition". One owner, full service records, etc. Good thing is, the more I drive it, the better I like it. Our neighborhood is crawling with Lexus, Mercedes, BMW's, etc. SRX's are very rare here. :thumbsup:
