To anyone who has a whining diff: Exactly when does yours whine? Is it only under load? Any certain speed[s]?

Today I *thought* I heard a slight whine coming from the rear under light load, but couldn't be sure. It might have been the Maggie, or I might have been imagining it. I had to turn up the music :thepan:

Unfortunately, from experience :rant2: - usually between 45 & 50, light to no load. Hey, both me and my new car don't whine anymore.

I think I got the whine back, then. At light load, I can hear some whining. Maybe I won't be able to hear it once I get the Kooks on :D
No worries - if I break it, so be it. My New Year's resolution is to stop worrying about it and drive like I would drive any other car.

How's the Ferrari? :)

On a side note, I did whip a BMW 330 today on the freeway. I think he really thought he had a chance :cookoo:

Mine was whining at 43 and somewhat louder at 86 (on the track of course :) ). There was some whine around 20 (another harmonic) but you really had to listen to hear that one. It seemed to be at all loads but easier to hear when just cruising around those speeds or under light load.

Had it ('04) replaced with an '06 and no whine in over 15k maggied miles :)
