I'm trying to install Sirius SIR-GM1 in my 05 CTS. The car did not come with XM from the factory. So far I've had the back seats out, the rear deck out, and the radio out without any luck as to how to get any of the plugs that came with the unit to fit anywhere. I've already taken the car to the dealership and had it Tech tooled, and the DRR was an option (it was unchecked originally but not now). Has anyone performed this install yet? If so, can you please help me out (preferably some detailed instructions, hopefully pics). I'm about 2 seconds away from giving up on Satellite radio all together with this car for a while if I can't get something to work with this. Thanks for any help at all.

Brad

The only satellite radio thread with good info I can think of is this one:
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-audio-video-security-systems/85948-my-2002-seville-xm-direct-wiring.html

I was reading this link http://www.tss-radio.com/sirius-connect-p-228.html and it says "2004-2006 CTS (must have BAND button)" is compatible. Do you have the band button?

The pdf on that page was kinda helpful as I was reading through it http://www.tss-radio.com/images/SIR-GM1-Install-Manual.pdf

It seems like you only need to fiddle with the connection near your factory head unit to make everything work (and run the antenna, but that doesn't count to me).

Good luck and keep us posted.
