View Full Version : Ditched the "Bose"

I had the Bose Gold stereo in my 89 Deville,,,had both left
speakers out,,,,so I installed a new Kenwood HU and Kenwood
speakers thru out......What a great choice,,,,,No more Bose
crap to try to figure out. I am really happy with the sound
and quality of the system now. All my stuff came from the
Crutchfeild site and it was everything I needed. I took my time
and did it right. I would recommend Crutchfeild to anyone
looking to upgrade.:bouncy:

They look like a good site. Plus they say they give "master sheets" to help with the install. If I do change anything in the car in the future, I will try to get it from them to see how it goes. Plus I think wiring harnesses are included with some purchases!
Just curious, did you get the "customized master sheets" for you vehicle, or were they generic type of stuff?

I got the sheets specific to my car, the purchase
incuded a wireing harness, ant adapter, mounting kit
instructions, ALL FREE....... plus I used all Kenwood
products and got a $50 off value credit,,,,sweet deals.
They also have free help via the phone if needed,,,,they
are top rated in my book. This is not the first time, or
the last I will use them.

^^ Ok good. At least I know now that they don't send some generic "remove headunit" instructions! :p I do like how most, if not all, necessary hardware is included.

Which Bose head unit did you have? I too have replaced my gold cd/cassette in my 93 seville. I used a went with sony. I agree that crutchfield is a very good place for info. I am looking for a replacement HU, just to have the original. Does yours still work? Thanks Joe
