I was just looking through Jegs and they have a BOP to GM tranny adapter for $60. Will this work for a 472 to 4L80e or 700r4? Any advice or tips?

As long as the trans that your using has the Chevy bolt pattern, it should work.
I know that some of these adapters look pretty thin and flexible. Make sure the one you get is able to handle the torque of the 472.

If you're asking if the Cad 472 uses the BOP pattern, the answer is yes.
I'm going to be using a TH350 for my truck swap. That's what is in the truck now but it is the Chevy pattern. The tranny needs re-built anyhow so I'm gunna have the shop swap my tranny innerds into a BOP case. I have a TH400 with the BOP pattern but I'll have to make changes that I don't really want to get into right now.
