: Need advice for new car

I am selling my CTS-V and my Trailblazer SS. Combined I think I should be able to get around 60-65k as they both are low miles. I am downgrading to one car bc I am getting a free car from work and I don't need to own an SUV anymore. So I am thinking about an RS4, STS-V or putting the 65k down on an M5 with like 3k miles and paying the difference in a loan. What do you guys think? I am leaning heavily toward the RS4 because of its value in my eyes. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't buy a new car.

There are a lot of good deals on used cars.

Mid size: BMW M5 or Mercedes E55

Large sedan: BMW 760 LI or Mercedes S55

Plus multiple new models coming. However if you consider the STS-V it appears you can save a bundle by getting one slightly used. Last deal I saw posted here was with 100 miles on the car and it was 50K.

Keep your CTS V and put the money from your truck in savings.

996 TT would be cool, too. I've driven my buddy's 2002 - fun car!

I don't really want a new car. Every car I have bought has been like 2-7k on the clock. I'd like a slightly used luxury sedan. But, with 65k being my max I think the RS4 barely gets in and I dont think I can afford the E55 or the M5. I dont wanna buy one with 20k miles. I think the RS4 or the STS-V would be good. If any dealers are reading this and have a STS-V on sale let me know.

Would any on here be interested in either of these two cars:

05 CTS-V Black/Black
15k miles
CAR Motorsports Mats
Zoomers Exhaust
20in TIS 07 wheels w/ Nitto tires
5% tint all the way around
Immaculate condition

06 Trailblazer SS
15k miles
Eclipse double din NAV/DVD/Sirius head unit
12in JL w7 in Custom Box
JL 1000 watt amp with custom placement in floor with acrylic cover with "SS" on top.

Both cars are in VERY good condition and I am looking for around 35k for the V and around 30k for the Trailblazer. Thanks guys!

A used E55 certified of course or one of Chesrown's STS-V's for $50K. An M5 wouldn't even be on my list, nor would the RS4. The E55 has brutal acceleration and the STS-V has the size and grunt, plus I love the look. The RS4 is a first year product with possible gremlins and frankly I don't think it's worth the dough. That's me though.

I can get a new Trailblazer SS in So Cal for about $31 -$32, the V is close to fair though.

I wouldn't get a STS-V. . . the E55 is fast fun and luxurious ... the RS4 is different and will hold its value, I'd go with the RS4

What's wrong with the STS-V?? You saying it's not fast, fun and luxurious? Guess you never drove one.

If you can get a good deal on the STS-V, do it. The car really is fantastic, plus you stay in the V family

Dump 'em both, pick up a used Honda Civic, buy an '08 V by the end of summer, and keep the Honda for your foul weather beater.

Case closed.

There is nothing wrong with the STS-V, I have drivin one once, and been driven in one numerous times. I was incredibly impressed with the ride, but it felt about the same speed as my V. Personally I don't like the interior in the STS-v s that much (but I think thats only bc I was in one w/ the red interior and it looked HORRIBLE). I think that German cars are more luxurious, and if you are selling a CTS-V, why get a STS-V. TO me it is not worth the $$difference jus to stay in the "V family" although I do love the family!

also I just dont see much sense in selling 2 Nice fast fun cars for a STS-V..esp bc they have depreciated so much already :( get something that will hold its Value down the road..the RS4 is rare, fast, fun, luxurious, and DIFFERENT! I'm not knocking my caddy or any1 elses its just not practical in my eyes....
take your pick CTS-V and Trailblazer SS or STS-V c'mon now

Hey!!!

You should check out an '03 Audi RS6. It's an ultimate driving sedan. 450hp, AWD fully loaded and will keep it's value. You should be able to find one between 45-55k just make sure you get one Certified.

Paul:thumbsup:

Sorry guys I didn't mean to start a war on this. I'm going off blue book on my two prices. The GM rebates are really killing the resale on the Trailblazers but blue book is like 28k and my system cost me like 6-7k so I am just trying to get something around that. But if anyone is interested in the cars let me know. Cars are in North Carolina.
