I know park in a safe area. :)

Get a good alarm. Which type? what model, and what features?

How about Lojack? or other vehicle tracking devices? Wont help prevent theft but sure would be fun to track down your vehicle and put a 9 in someones head :thepan: :want:

Park in the garage? but what if you are at a ballgame parked at a stadium or wal-mart etc?

Someone said, take out a coil wire so it doesnt start or disconnect the battery wire everytime what a pain in the a$$, but if its flatbed away that wont matter.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

viper 791xv with all the accessories like tilt, glass break, shock, motion, and any other sensors.. backup alarm so if they cut power alarm still goes.. jimmi jammers, turn your wheels completely one way when you park, throw the e-brake on, park in well lit areas, try and park near entrances that will be busy, you can get lojack or any of those tracking devices, most come with a fuel cutoff if the extra fob is not in the car.

Don't leave the house, leave it in the garage chained down to the floor:)

I heard some guy had his vette chained down to the floor in his garage and they took it anyway... they left a note saying if we want it, we'll take it. I think i read it on this forum somewhere.

There are actual keypads that are made now where you have to enter a code to start the car. It won't start without the code. It's pretty much the same thing as used in "Transporter 2", if you have seen it.

Thanks.

When I was in South Africa I was shown a device that makes such a loud screeching noise that it was painful to remain in the vehicle, it was very effective! Here in the USA the thief would sue you for damaging his hearing LOL.

What he said... get that alarm with the digital tilt sensor that way of they try to jack it up in any way to tow or take wheels it will go off, get the ultrasonic mic's inside to detect any change in pressure inside the vehicle, senses body mass changing (sort of like a perimiter alarm but doesnt go off with everyone waving at your window)... also the backup alarms are a must and some of the earpiercing ones that go in the cab.

this is what I do for my customers who really wants to have a bullet proof system.
1. guide point system http://www.guidepointsystems.com/index.shtml
2. a few high pitch piezo sirens installed inside your vehicle
3. air horns ( many times people asked me to install a train horns, mostly done them on Hummers)
3. tilt sensors ( to protect wheels and tires)
4. immobilizer (cuts fuel and ignition)
5. paging system (1-2 miles radius)
6. and of course back up battery system
this set up is not cheap, but works
