Do stock CTS wheels and tires fit the V? Clearly they'd have traction issues in good whether. I'm wondering whether they'd be good in special situations - say as front tires at a drag strip after warranty runs out (those runflats are HEAVY!), winter wheels and tires, moving to something like blizzak snow and ice tires once the stock rubber was gone...etc.
Not on the wheel page, but on the wheel spec page it says SRX wheels are the same bolt pattern. Hmm - I wonder if the salvage yards have any pulls of SRX wheels and tires from wrecks for cheap winter tires. Time to go read up on SRX's a little just for fun.
The seem to have 3 wheel sizes:
17 in. x 7.5 in. cast aluminum with painted finish (V6)
18 in. x 8 in. cast aluminum with ultrabright machine finish (V8, optional V6)
20 in. cast aluminum with polished finish (Optional)*
Depending on the offset I wonder if the 18's or 20's might work.
Not talkin' bout the CTS (post #2, then jump to #5). SRX is about the only other car with the 6x115 bolt pattern that is unique to the V. But no brake clearance.
Ok - is that due to the CTS-V needing more offset?
