Howyadoin,

I've been having a problem with AM radio reception, where the signal seems fine stopped at idle, but when I start moving over about 5 MPH the signal gets chockfulla static.. Checked the antenna connection, meters OK. Tried to get at the radio, not a chance getting behind the wall of electronics behind the back of the trunk... Of course, while I was looking back there, I noticed the speakers on the rear deck were Delco branded. This is the base radio/cassette, this I know... But does this mean the whole radio unit is in-dash, not trunk mounted like the Bose system? If that's the case, can I just install an aftermarket system without worrying about the special Bose wiring and amps?

Oh, yeah, and whazzup with the AM? :)

Thanks!

On the '96 not positive.....but if its like a '94...

The dash radio is just a head unit.

The radio is in the trunk mounted to the base of the power antenna.

As for the trunk.....you know about the front pull down panel? Its just held up with velcro.
