Good morning,

I've spent the last few hours searching these forums and need to get some model specific confirmation about the options I have. I'm fairly literate when it comes to stereo installation in general, just not this car. Oh, btw I've only owned this car for about 20 hours.

- This stereo should play normally burned (CD-R) audio CDs?

- Is there a way to add an auxillary input (RCA) to this head unit?

- If I choose to install an aftermarket stereo it seems I'll need the 99-2005 bracket and the GMRC-03 wiring harness. Does this vehicle require the separate constant straight from the battery? Will the Bose speakers be ok with an amplified head unit?

- Where's the best/easiest place to get the inputs from for a trunk mounted amplifier?

Thanks in advance.

1 yes
2 yes
3 yes/no you still have an amp so the gmo-06 if you keep the bose amps and speaks if not then you need the gmos-03 *which by the way i have for sale*
4 if your running your own amp and replacing the hu then the new hu will have rca outs for an amp which you plug into

- For the aux input, there are several listed in this thread, but none specifically mention a 99 seville.

There are several models shown here as well (midway down page). Just not sure what will work with my car.

- Just to make sure I understand, for the aftermarket HU wiring adapter:
GMOS-06 if I keep the Bose speakers
GMOS-03 if I replace the Bose speakers

Where did I get GMRC-03??????

- The aftermarket HU I have is a 50W Sony, nothing special, I'm just concerned about sending a hi signal to an amplified speaker.

- If I wind up keeping the Bose HU, what's the best place to get the signal for my (soon to be trunk mounted) amp?

Thanks again.

an rca line adapter which will branch off your rear sub terminals and give you a set of low level rcas

heres the aux input

you will lose your cd changer with this and you cannot use it with an aftermarket unit nor could you use the cd changer....
if you want an aux in for an aftermarket you need a hu that has aux in ability
