Looks good. What kit did you use. I see you painted the Caddy emblem black like your old Lade.

dont the new 07s come with zenon headlights. Why change them. Can you see better at night with the HIDS?

Side note. My garage looks the same way... FULL OF GM PRODUCTS

Looks real good. Futuristic styling. Be careful with the police though, 10,000k is borderline blue/violet.

10000k are pretty blue, I tried them in my 03' but I did not like the loss in brightness, but they looked pretty cool

the color looks hot.. but going to 10000k you lose alot of light output.. my friend has 8000k and my hid's show a lot more.. his looks brighter because they are mroe blue but actual light output comes short... for looks its good though.. but i guess with the headlights and fogs it makes up for light loss.

below is picture of my durango when i had it.. i used 8000k... this is most highest i would ever go.. it gives nice blue/white output but still maintains a nice light output... anything above is what they consider for a show car that itsnt really driven.. plus cops will bust your balls.. you can buy just the bulbs on ebay but i think they cost like 150 for just the bulbs which will plug in to the stock ballast... for the fogs you need a whole kit which you can get online for like 150+ depending on the brand and whatnot.. as stated the below pic is 8000k...

What’s the difference between Single Beam HID Kit and BI-Xenon HID Kit??

TheCaddyKidd
12-22-06, 12:40 PM
singel beam means you only have low beam.. bi beam means that the hid has low/high beam together.. some vehicles only have 1 bulb for low and highs..

whats a good factory match kit for my 07 foglights so they match the upper headlights??? guys if you know please post.

TheCaddyKidd

factory hid's are usually 4300k so you should either go with that or maybe 6000k.. anywhere between those should be a good match.. the picture below shows the stock 4300k on my 06 with aftermarket 4300k in the fogs...

if your going with the stock look use the philips 4300k

What can you use to match the high beam to the stock head lights?

TheCaddyKidd
12-23-06, 07:09 AM
i would say the same thing.. anywhere from 4300k-6000k.. personally i would go with 6000k.. gives it more of a white/diamond output.. i thought about doing the highs but i have the fogs hid and you cant have everything on at the same time and then you lose the flash to pass like you cant highbeam someone to let them know to go or if you are trying to flag someone down..

From what I can find 5000k is the break point on light output. Anything beyond that will result in light output loss and move to a show look, right? On my 2003 I was thinking of updating the low beams to something higher than 4300k stock if the result was greater light output. Then I want to replace the driving lights with HIDs and the high beams with maybe the Silverstar or some out Halogen. HIDs are fine, but they are not instant on which is what I am looking for in high beams.
