GM Performance Division CTS-V T2 Racing Shocks
Some guy is selling them at the classifieds section.
Does anyone know anything about them?

Here's the link.

It seems pretty cool since they're not self adjusting shocks and you can just buy the elbach spring kit to lower the car with out having to fool the fe4's or the fg2's with the gc kit.

Anyone, Buehler?

I believe the FE4 and FG2 shocks are made by Sachs as well, this may be the CTS-VR version made for the race car.

Yes, Sach does make V shocks for the T2 racers... they are supposedly much stiffer than the stock FG2 shocks; they are not self-leveling. They are not available for sale to the public... only a few shops can buy them. I know LPE and Phoenix Performance can... dont know who else.

You should ask the seller where / how he bought these.

This looks legit.

I only thing that concerns me... it looks like the spring perch has been removed on the front shock (all the way to the right) it should be where the silver 'cut' is in the middle of the shock... you can see it on the shock in the bubble wrap (2nd from left)

Hey!!

Yes, I have. I was checking them out too but want to make sure he has all the parts and how long he used them for. They're a great shock but be aware that it will definitely make your car ride alot stiffer and harder over any bumps.

I'm on the fence on these ----looks like a good deal though. Any GM performance racing gurus in here?

Chime in?

I bought the shocks from Phoenix Performance.

I pulled out the other front shock from the bubble wrap; it's the same as the shock in the picture. I'm not an expert, but when I look at the shock I see what I would call a rubber isolator and a spring perch which sits on a thread in the shock body, the same as the pictured FG2 in this link, half-way down the page (step #6 for the front shocks):

Here is another picture of what I'm talking about:

Jim is everything all right? I know you like to post a lot, but you just replied to a 4+ year old post?!?

On a serious note, does this mean that your '04 is back on the road?

Nah. I was doing a search for how wildwhl lowered his V on stock springs and shocks to apply to the V2. I saw this thread and felt like bumping it.

Besides, T2 shocks are the best!

I still need to install mine. Been sitting a box for like 18 months.

I will get my damned car back on the track this year!

18 months? You do know you had them ready to install in '08 at V-day 1, right?

I didn't have them then. 18(ish) months is what I'm sticking with.

So you got them AFTER I wrecked my V with the T2s installed? Because it's been 19 months since the accident. You had them long before I even got them...
