I hace the lens off, I can see the bulbs. The chiltons is the biggest piece of crap ever. I hope death was slow and painful to the editors. Is there a tutorial on this. the car in question is a 79 deville.

thanks.

Push the bulb in and give it a twist (counterclockwise I believe) and it should come out. If it's corroded, you may have spray some penetrating oil or WD-40 and let it soak for a while.

the bulb should come out in a fixture, just pull it out of that and slip the new bulb in. i dont know if its the same for a 79 as it is for an 85 (just changed mine) let me know if that works

With the lens removed, turn the white plastic socket counterclockwise (looking at it from the wire side). It will move about 1/8 of a full turn and pop out from the red lens. The bulbs work the same way. Take note that the bulbs have metal tangs which have 2 different depths.
