View Full Version : Predator Programmer Performance Gains Hi, Has anybody out there used the predator programmer????
What are the aprox. performance gains? hp? torque???
I am about to buy a programmer and all Ive heard is that the predator is the best choice over, hypertech and other brands, is this true???
Thanks in Advance I have a Preditor that they sent us to test for my 03' Escalade, I have before dyno numbers and was waiting until the weather gets nicer to get after numbers. The Preditor also allows you to change the top speed and make your shifts crisper as well as many other things, I would buy one for sure and have been very pleased with the unit. I have the Superchip programmer, just received for lade ext 02, and it requires 91 octane fuel. Does the preditor require this fuel? Yes it does requires 91 octane fuel Sycosis 03-15-04, 12:27 PM Hi, Has anybody out there used the predator programmer????

If you want a fast suv outta the box get the gmc typhoon. I have the Superchip programmer, just received for lade ext 02, and it requires 91 octane fuel. Does the preditor require this fuel?
The 6.0 requires 91 and above octane stock, it will run on lower octane but not as well larry_chip 03-19-04, 10:58 PM i'm thinking of getting this preditor,
I Spoke to a guy that works there I Think his name was andy He knew what his was talking about & It sounded good to me,
I Spoke to a guy at Superchips & He didn't even know that they made a Programer for Escalades? he was like I'm sorry but we working on a chip for your truck I WAS LIKE MAN I SEEN IT ON YOUR WEBSITE! then he checked & said OH I'M SORRY ABOUT THAT I GUESS WE DO!
i mean how can you ask him questions about something he didn't even know he had?
but the only thing i liked about the Superchips vs Preditor is that when my lease is up i can pull the superchip programing out in 5 minutes & Sell it on here or ebay VS leaveing the preditor in because its like the brain of the truck, so is it worth the $490 lose for what the preditor gives me? i still don't know?
what do you guys think? I have the preditor programmer on my 02 scalade. It works well, will tell you any codes in the computer, allows you to monitor live diagnostic data, and I was able to connect it to my computer, e-mail my scalade's programe to Diablo, and they tweaked it further. E-mailed it back to me, with software to download into my programmer. Then upload back into scalade. This truck has endless power now.
I also have a Volant intake with custom snorkel running into passenger tow hook opening. Wicked fast for such a big SUV. :) larry_chip 03-20-04, 05:16 PM any pics of your custom intake,
i have the aem intake & was thinking of doing a custom ram-air like kind of intake because even with the Aem it still isn't getting forced air like i wanted,
what did you use & how did u make it? oladawg 08-10-04, 07:52 PM I have the preditor programmer on my 02 scalade. What's the MPG increase without Modified intakes, exhaust? If I could get an extra 4-6 MPG on the freeway, that would be sweet! 93 octane would make sense if you were compensated with increased in MPG. (I just recently switched to 93 anyway) jahngga 05-29-05, 12:05 AM I have the preditor programmer on my 02 scalade.
