I just ran across this on another forum. Tirerack.com carries a Continental tire repair kit that allegedly does not damage the TPS. It's water based so after the shop makes the repair to the tire, the TPS can be cleaned by rinsing w/water.

I think I might Get one for the V.

I put runflat in mine for 1 day, or overnight anyway, and TPS was fine. Still works to this day! Lucky I guess!

That is $79 bucks...a new tire pressure sensor can be had for $43. I'll destroy a TPS before spending more time and money than a can of fix-a-flat.
