Greets,

I was wondering if anyone in this forum can help me. I also have another thread running in the Seville section about this as well. The car : 1997 Seville SLS. The problem: Whenever outside humidty is high the vehicle will stick in a high idle. Humidty drops and problem disappears. The PCM was replaced and everything worked fine for about a month. Then we had a lot of rain and the problem resurfaced. As soon as the environment dried out and humidity levels dropped the car returned to normal. Yesterday humidity levels rose again (no rain) and the problem reappeared. TPS/MAP/O2 sensors are good. There are no vacuum leaks & the TB valve is not sticking. So what would be next? I'm wondering if it could be the connections to the PCM seeing how the PCM is located right at the beginning of the air intake assembly. This event does not set any DTCs. This problem however does have a second identity which is just the opposite. Idle goes down, acceleration acts like the fuel mixture is to rich & then the car stalls at idle and it sets DTCs P0121,P1524 & P1599. The one that sets DTCs does not happen nearly as often as the high idle problem. Does this sound like an electrical problem or something else? Also my original question if nothing else : What electrical part/sensor/whatever would be the one most suseptible to high humidity?
