Ended up in a junkyard!!:helpless:

Mexican Road Race: [see "Carrera Panamerica (http://www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_txt/factA-C.htm#CarreraPanamerica)"] From 1950-1954, this most grueling, treacherous and intimidating endurance race started from Juarez, and covered 2135 miles of Mexican ‘roads’. The first one was run in 1950. Cadillacs of the early fifties were considered so robust as to be able to endure the race. This survivor is a '53 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special ...with an Olds engine!

NO IT'S THE REAL THING! Unfortunately it has an oldsmobile engine in it. It would be tough to restore as the decals would be ruined. Sure would be fun at the cruise-ins.

Look under Mexico.

You can redo the decals. Plenty of decal shops could do that.

Did you pick up on the lower body chrome? It looks amazingly good! Yeah, I'd love to have it too. The '50 '51 Oldsmobile engines were good race engines. Lotsa torque.

Dammit, dude, you ought to buy that thing! That car is a piece of history and needs a much more dignified fate than that!!! It's in excellent shape too!
