Hello, I have discovered today that my 1998 STS's back shocks are no inflating. I was told they are air shocks? Is this correct? I chekced the fuse and it was fine. Would this problem cause my car to ride rough? Its riding horribly rough, only been doing it for a week. Is it possible the compressor just went out on the car? Also my main question, where is this compressor located on this car? Another thing I have heard that its possible that all of the doors need to be closed for the compressor to inflate the shocks, is this possible? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks a lot

My car rides rougher then a truck. What is possibly the problem. I went and tested the back shocks and they seem to be filling up with air, what are some other similar problems? It has 100k miles and it just stopped being smooth one day, what are my options for problems

If it suddenly changed, and all four are like that, You should try pulling the codes first. Hold OFF and WARMER with the ignition on, and write down any codes that it displays. Post them here, and we'll tell you what they mean.
