OK I actually kinda think some aspects are neat and nicely different. However, I have this new and fun problem. When I type a url into the address bar and hit enter or click the 'go' button..............well, it doesn't go. I can get it to go now and then, but not every time. I've tried different addresses too.
Has anyone else had this issue? I found one help thing through google, but no one answered the guy's question...they answered other questions.

I can get to sites by using my favorites list OR by googling the site and linking from there...............

Help *cries* PLEASE :banghead:

yeah, run away from the problem...............
I don't want opera...I want IE. I waited and waited upgrade from 6 to 7 and FINALLY did it and look where it got me.
I've used mozilla and firefox and all that other crap before too, but I have always liked IE. I just can't make the stupid address bar work. I might have to rollback. grrrr

YO Kellidahorsegirl make sure you've updated it via the Windows Update. I had that same problem, you'd read it in my 786kbs go to hell thread.

I thought it was my mother's ISP. Typed in a URL and hit go wait for a minute or two for it to load.

I updated it and bam it went back to normal. But now I'm experiecing a few other gliches haha.

I think IE7 is coded specific for Vista so us XP users are fighting with compatibility issues.

I hope that works.

I downloaded from the 'automatic' updates. I'm running XP too. I wonder if it wouldn't just be best to downgrade until they get all the bugs fixed. I don't have time for this crap. I do all my work off the internet and well, yeah,,,don't like this haha
I could try re-updating, but might just be easier to reinstall 6.
Thanks railven

I hear ya Kellidahorsegirl. I've been debating downgrading to IE6 again but with my new work schedule I haven't had much "net time" so I deal with it.

You can always check your background applications. I've come to learn that IE7 don't seem to work fine with a few background applications on my PC. Usually shutting them down fixes it but its different for each user.

Good luck.

Firefox. If you're determined to use IE, reinstall it IMO, but save your bookmarks.

dang it anway :p
I guess I"ll have to find time to reinstall sometime today. Wouldn't be a big deal but its the whole 'restart' when done that ticks me off.

I always have issues when I upgrade. i'm gona just stick with old school from now on!

I was hoping someone would have the same issue as me though :( oh well. THanks for all the help!

I did have the same issue and upgrading it fixed it.

Sucks.

I got that new Hotmail Live Beta and I'm trying to figure out how to go back to oldschool.

Sometimes change sucks or at least it sucks until all the quirks are fixed.

I am also having the similar problem with IE7 . Opera seems more reliable to IE7 what's funny is that I don't know but I like IE though

I hate major upgrades or first versions of any MS product. They all take a half dozen service packs to become something half decent.

Exactly Jesda !
I downloaded MP11 for its wouldbe improved features .Blah .It was totally junk and no way you could listen to radios and guide feature was deleted.
I upgraded SP1 to SP2 and my internet connection got damaged some time ago.
I had a quite time for bringing back MP10 in my notebook .I managed to do it. I also downloaded Live Messenger thingy and don't think I would do it again .
7.5 is way to go

I am using MP11 and IE7 with only one issue and I don't even have to worry about that.
I have two machines running it and I barely step away from my computers all day (at least one of them).
Even in the beta I never experienced the trouble you are talking about.

My one issue with IE7 is through the GM training portal, it won't let me take tests properly for something called a "tech assist". I had one issue with the home depot's credit card website but I sent them an email about IE7 compatibility and it was fixed two weeks later.
I am glad I don't have the problems I have heard about but I haven't had any.

I seem to remember you having problems code, did you never find a solution?
I am still not having issues, maybe I am just not visiting the websites you guys are.
Really I only go to about half a dozen anymore.
I don't have time to "cruise" the web these days.

Thats interesting Code. I too noticed the cookie deleting.........jerks.
Seriously, when I have time, I think I'm just gonna go back to 6.....this is BS.

I will say that I kept IE7. As a techie I almost have to if I ever want to support it.

It did in fact uninstall iTunes, it broke QuickTime all together and is NOT compatible with Quick Books prior to 2006. Apparently Intuit is releasing a fix for Quick Books 2005 in mid December.

Other than that the things I hate include no image toolbar, how dumb was that. The fact that by default they hide the main menu toolbar. Hello folks, that's like the life blood of all GUI interfaces. Dumb dumb dumb.

I reinstalled iTunes twice, reinstalled Quicktime player and plug-in twice and am waiting patiently for the QB update. As of right now everything seems stable.

I am pissed however that they put IE7 into the critical updates, which remember happen automatically for most workstations. Real nice way to break a companies accounting software without telling anyone.

Jesda is 100% correct. This also applies to Vista and Office 2007. Most companies say they will not be upgrading at least until the 2nd quarter 07 to fix problems by MS.

I also heard of programs breaking like Code said...:nono:

I love and use Firefox for all my needs. I will never use IE if I do not have to. I have a good set of extensions so I have become very lazy while browsing!
