Does anyone make a programmable performance chip for the 1st Gen. computer used in the early 90's 4.6 liter northstar engines. If so plz. provide info. or link to website. Thanks.
Think your out of luck on that one, Superchips use to make chips for the earlier northstars, not anymore, just the escalades and CTS-V's. The good news is the stock computer is pretty well optimized.
btw, i talked with this guy alot when i had my aurora (4.0 northstar) and he said the amount of torque management was ridicolous, at there elevation (very high, cant remember what, but high enough to make a car alot slower) the car went from like 16.5 to 15.8 i think he said, with wheel spin problems...i guess these help alot more for low end power, since thats where most of the torque managment is. that was for the 3.48 geared aurora, mine had 3.71 gears and could only chirp the tires and normal elevation.
I have searched extensively...the Westers Garage page is the only one that even mentions a chip for these cars.
