OK - I want to install a cd/radio in my Eldorado(non-bose). I know which dash kit
I need and how to modify it for a dbl din but is the gmos-6 harness the right one?
I have on-star but the gmos-6 is for external amped GM's or will that work for me?
Also I'll need a box to retain steering wheel audio. The hu I want to install is 4x40 watts.
Good idea or not?? Thanks..........
the 06 is for onstar AND amp retainment
you either have to ditch onstar and buy the gmos-03
or you need to use the 06 and bypass the rcas and run your own speaker wires...
yes youll need another adapter to keep your wheel controls which one you need depends on the brand hu you buy
Well, my radio/cassette unit has an internal amp and it feeds the speakers
thru the GM harness. Can't I use the 06 harness and run wires from the new
hu to it? Or am I missing something? I thought the after market hu's had both
the rca's and speaker feed thru the rear plug conn.
i know all about your audio system
the gmos-06 however uses RCAs not speaker wires to get the sound signal
therefore you must cut off the rca ends to get wires or run your own...
