I own a 98 Concours with 184000 on it. Its a beautiful ride with no problems. I have noticed that with the onset of colder temps, when the car is cold I get a hydraulic whine almost like the sound of a power steering pump thats low on fluid. The tranny only whines at the shift points, and last for maybe 2 secs. I dont get the whine when it shifts into overdrive. I dont know if I may just need to add fluid or what. Any suggestions would be great. No shift problems and it stops when the temp gets to about 150. I also dont have the problem in the summer time.

You mean you haven't checked the fluid?

Check the fluid. Out 89 Regal used to whine when driving it. We took it to Aamco and for $40 they added some fluid to our car! Why didn't I check that?!

Actually, I change the fluid about every 20,000 myself. The fluid level is normal when cold and hot.

^^ 20K? They are usually good for 100K changes, but that's pretty good. I hear its not the easiest job to do, so that why they say 100K! :p
I say if it isn't the fluid, spend $40 and let Aamco diagnosis it. Don't let them BS you, but hear what they will say. You will know what really needs to be fixed after you talk to them.
