Maybe yours have leaked down. The trunk does not pop open very far but it usually isn't that hard to operate. Kaliwest84 12-01-06, 10:53 PM i had the same problem..it started getting really heavy..took it to the dealership and they got it fixed.....u're fine if you're under warranty. wait4me6920 12-01-06, 10:59 PM Is it normal for the trunk to be SUPER heavy when you pull it to open it? Ours has never popped up enough to really notice & it's always been a real pisser to lift until it's about half way up. Personally, I think the lifts are not up to the task - they are short and not working at an efficient angle. It takes a good heave to get'er up there. The wife is a pretty sturdy gal though & hasn't really complained. Have a few other issues (peeling headlamps, rear door gasket, rear end moaning again) I need to see to, so think I'll see about getting a new set. Bruce Naw, not really - she's a runner, exercise freak & avid golfer. She don't mind being called sturdy... Rey Rey 650 12-02-06, 01:39 AM Nahh Its not heavy for me :dumbbells: dkozloski 12-02-06, 01:53 AM Wait I'll bet your wife would be REAL happy to find that you described her as a "pretty sturdy gal". I asked my wife about the sturdy part and she agreed that she would prefer not to be called sturdy. I guess my sensitivity training is paying off. Wait.. You live down South where you can run outside all you want. Here they are having the "Santa shuffle", I think I'll need studs on my runners for all the ice. Not much fun to run 6 miles on a tread mill. Bruce MJDART 12-02-06, 01:51 PM I'd use the term "athletic wife" :) | |
