Hi all,

this forum looks amazing!
congrats to the mods and sponsors for running this mecca of Cadillacinfo,
I sure do can use some.

For the record,
I' am running a CTS 2.8V6 and an XLR in the Kingdom of Bahrain, located in the middle east and home to the motersport of the region.
For all of you who question the possibility of running those vehicles in very high temperatures, I' am the answer!

Here is a "quick pic" of the XLR!enjoy guys,
it's a 2004 middle east spec., platinum color and black leather.
Next to the ambulance is a silver one, suffering a roof top problem, very rare to see 2 of them so close together, there are 5 in Bahrain,
and in fact I have never had the privelege of meeting another one on the road.

I don't have a pic of the CTS right now, only interior, it's a silver one with light neutral leather, no GPS and basically very standard, still a very good car off course.

So do you have a speed limiter (in the car's computer) on that XLR or is it only restricted by what the car will actually do ?

Everything is as stock as possible, and at 250km/h the XLR seems to be very happy when I can spare my eyes looking at the RPM's, so my best guess it is limited.
That rediculous 120km/h (70M) EXP52 is off course turned off, I need to do it as well on the CTS, it's just annoying!

250km/h is certainly quick enough :)

Welcome aboard the CadillacOwners.com site. You can get a lot of good information here, and the Members Lounge forum is a great place to visit for laughs! :welcome: :highfive:

Nice XLR! Interesting pics--I take it the first one is inside the dealerships service shop? Do you have alot of American car dealers over there?

[QUOTE=JDo you have alot of American car dealers over there?[/QUOTE]

There is one big GM dealership for the whole island, and in general they do very good business!
I guess 50 percent of the cars driving around here is US build,
a lot of Fords, chryslerdodgestuff and GM's, all the rest is made up of the never ending unavoidable toyota's and I guestimate 10 to 15 percent of the vehicles here are classified as exotics, AMG M, XLR,s ;-) and even next to my place is currently parked: A McLaren Mercedes...

Nice place to live!
I' am a Belgian BTW.
