i was wondering if someone knows where ( what color wire) i connect the parking brake wire from an in dash monitor dvd player so you can watch dvds while parked, also i was wondering how you can bypass the brake function, i know its so-called illegal but just wanted to know. also if anyone has installed a aftermarket radion in a 2000+ deville where the hell do you hide that big ass gmos-06 harness theres barely room for the stereo. just wanted some ideas so if you know wuz up let me know. thanks.

depends on the unit
some there is a gyroscope and no way around it
others you simply ground the park brake wire

Or a toggle switch.

My unit needs a toggle switch because I had a friend ground it out. That didn't work.

If I do get a switch put it, how well does it hide? I am worried about getting in trouble when I take my car for its next emmission inspection. Would they even care?

how would you install a toggle would my parking brake wire (green)go to the positive of the toggle or the negative? also if that doesnt work what color is the wire that runs form the battery to the park brake on a 2003 deville?

ugh
no
you run the switch between the brake wire and ground it
it needs to read at one point in time the brake is off otherwise its smart and realizes you just ground the wire out
my avic-n1 i just had to ground the park brake wire
so i ask again
WHAT UNIT!!?!?

I own a 2003 Deville DTS with factory navigation. I too would like to be able to play a DVD while in motion. I have a special needs son who sits in front with me and as such having a headrest mounted screen is of no value.
Any idea how to go about modifying the factory set-up to play while in motion?
Thanks in advance for your time and help.

In my Eldo, where would I find the parking brake switch? Right by the parking brake or is it somewhere else?

should be there
but why bother
just run it to any clean ground
if yours needs a switch run it inline and then mount the switch in the opening pocket below your hu

Yeah, any kind of switch though right...I was going to use a light switch jsut for laughs! :histeric:

Thanks man!
