that guy just plain sucks...all right foot, no power modulation. That shows that just cause you have a fast car, driving them is another issue.

This guy is horrible.

Thats why rustangs need to stay on the drag strip.

That car is a bomb, looks like it has a stage or 2 of nos.

Why would u ride along w/ him???

If i was his buddy i woulda payed for him to have the camera mount so i could get some good laughs.

At one point I thought he was going to take out the parkinng lot.

Best part, "Hey john let me guess u hit a tree" "That car is an off road machiene"

Good post!

Mustangs in general don't belong on an Auto-cross track. They handle like a wet sponge. Not to mention an over powered under designed Mustang.

I could probable get through that course better with my 4000lb DTS. Stock.

That guy not only sucks but he chose the wrong car to prove it in.

Guy takes a what looked like a drag setup fox body Mustang, approaches an autocross with the gentle touch of a dump truck, and doesn't learn a thingwhen he wrecks, repeatedly.

As a note, Mustangs are light enough that when driven properly, they can do an autox respectably. Of course, with the right driver, anything can run an autox. (Remembering my Eldo)

They're built like trucks. No surprise he ended up in the weeds.

This is how you auto-x:

Is it me or was he not following the cones on the slolam.
I bet I could flip that car onto its side by myself. After a few beers and a rowdy soccer game. :alchi: :green:

Now that car is obviously set up for that. That car sticks to the ground like glue. The driver makes excellent use of the gears, braking and throttle modulation.

Excellent vid. Thanks

It's a reminder to me that the person one is street racing may not know how to keep their car under control at all times.

Mustang guy is driving like it is a video game.

Slow is fast. Smooth wins everytime.

Yes, slower but smooth and consistent is faster than just fast. Control is everything. That guy should watch Days of Thunder. Maybe twice.

That guy didn't let off the throttle at all going into those big turns.... dumb... I also think that he would've done a little better if he had some wider rear tires on that thing, more traction so it doesn't slip around everywhere from his lead foot.

^^ Good idea with the wider tires. Still he sucks too much for those to make a significant improvement

It's not all because it was a 'Rustang'. That car has too much power for:

1. The Driver
2. The Tires
3. The Suspension

You can set up a Fox body car to be decent on a course like that...That guy was just a moron. :D

Concur. I don't do Fords, but the Fox body mustang, can be a very capable autocrosser with the right modifications...and a capable driver not that moron.

Nice to see another PNW member! I don't think there are all that many of us.
