Does anyone know the price to replace a front bumper on an 05 Ext. ?
I'm sure it will need to be painted silver like the old one too.

Is it more expensive to file an insurance claim or to pay out right cash, do you get a better rate for paying cash and not involving the insurance co. ? ?

I got an extra one in pearl white that you can have repainted. As for the insurance questions, depends on the claim. If somebody backed into you, then it wouldn't be a bad idea to go through insurance. If you ran into the fire hydrant in the front yard, I would pay for it yourself.

It's about $300 just to shoot it in your color, if they have to do the work of taking the old one off & putting the new one on it's more like $450 or $500. I've seen used bumper skins for 175 - 250 on ebay.

I think that’s the cheapest way instead of using your insurance. I had my side mirror broken off on halloween night and didn’t know who did it so I called my insurance and found out it would be cheaper If I just paid for it myself. Isn’t that a b...

When I got broken into, my insurance company cut me a check for almost 15 g's without any increase in my insurance rates. Thats why, if its considered vandalism/broken into/etc - then it won't increase your rates. But like I said, if you ram some kid on his bike going through a crosswalk, you'll end up paying for the mess in increased insurance rates.

It cost $830.00 to have the rear bumber cover repainted and replaced this past summer. This was at a Cadillac dealer.

Out of 4 places, independent shops, $803.00 is the best I could find.
